I have been a personal banking customer with Lloyds for over 10 years with no problems. I decided to open a business account in advance of starting my business, which then due to illness was delayed. Within 4 months, Lloyds sent me a letter saying that the cheques I'd requested cancelled were duly being dealt with. News to me! When I called them, they said that they were closing my account as no money had gone in it and that in fact the letter was generated by them even though it stated that it was at my request. They also managed to mix up my business name/address with someone else's bank account details on the letter they sent me. I threatened to close my personal account and they then relented to keeping my business account open. they said they took this action as they are so busy with new accounts being opened that the Business Managers can choose which ones to keep and which ones to get rid of. I'm in the process of looking for another bank as no way are they getting my hard earned money -
