It started off well.


General Comments

In November 07 I paid off over £700 of a balance of around £800. In December (what with it being a busy month for me) I missed a payment and the fun began. I was called several times a day from a London number. The caller stated that they were calling from the Halifax and asked me to confirm my DOB. As I don't give out personal details over the phone I refused. I then called the number back and got a recorded message with no information saying that it was the Halifax. From that point on I put it down to a scam, sure that the Halifax wouldn't be so unprofessional. The calls continued day after day (over new year).

I then went to the Halifax and made a payment. The following day I got a new statement from the Halifax... They had been harassing me for the grand total of... £5!!! I admit I had a late payment but have never in my long career of credit cards been harassed EVER for any amount never mind £5.

Then, just tonight I get a call from the Halifax. "As a valued customer....", the damn cheek of it.

Well done Halifax you've lost a customer, I will never again use Halifax for any of their services. One slip-up in payments and their like mad dogs at your door.
Oh and one more point.. you can not make payments over the phone (unless of course you have a late payment due!!).

    ;-) well they do need to claw it back; what with a £10bn loss last year.
