Good Points

Set up when placed behind the ball.
Color (I like the gray in bright sunny days, no reflection).
Ball flight and trajectory. High or low on command.
Distance control is very easy with these clubs.
Feel for casted clubs, flush it and it feels like a forged blade, miss it and you will feel it but nothing more then letting you know. Cushin insert I hear help the miss hits very nicely.
Workable, I could hit draws and fades with ease. Draws are just a tiny bit harder I think with the toe weight.
Distance is good but not "amazing" Probably a 3-5 yards longer but nothing like the Ping Rapture irons which is alomst "stupid" long.

Bad Points

Nothing I can tell you at this time. I have had other people tell me they do not like the offset being more progressive in the longer irons but that has always been a Ping trade mark to help hit longer irons better. I rated them a 9 for that reason. The offset does not bother me personally.

General Comments

What I noticed right away is the balance the club had when I swung it. Having played Ping years ago I liked the way the clubs felt in my hands. In the last 5-6 years I was not pleased with the product design nor feel Ping was producing so walked away from the brand. I bounced around with Calloways, Titleist and Taylormade trying to find happiness again. Now I think Ping finally made a club that works for the players it is targeting.

The other brands for the most part have more weight to the hossel side (Calloways for sure does) and with my swing I found that I would close the face to fast and hit hard tail draws. I found with the other brands I needed to place lead tape on the toe of the irons so I would not close the face as fast or actually take my lie angle flatter which opens the face a little to avoid the unexpected tail draw.

I have never had a problem turning my hand overs which is a tendency of people who have hard fades or slices.

Granted I understand that 90% of golfers fade the ball and the extra hossel weight helps them square the face better, but for a player who does not need that extra help you have to move into a "players" club and forgo some forgiveness when your swing is just not "on"...

My evaluation of the Ping I-10's give you a "players" club ability and the forgiveness of a cavity back.

I would strongly suggest to anyone looking at these irons or any irons to get professional fitted. I was surprised I actually needed a stiffer shaft then I was used to (S300). I ended up with the ZZ-65 shaft which is stiff but designed to hit the ball higher then a standard S300. The Ping AWT shaft is very nice also. For people thinking graphite will help for feel and weight I would STRONGLY suggest looking at the CS-Lite shaft with Ping's Cushin insert. That shaft amazed me on how light it was and how it felt like graphite.

Ping has a great selection for matching your swing to the club and shaft and I would recommend it to everyone.

Hope this review helps people, the sport is too fun to not enjoy.
