Numatic Henry Review

Good Points
Fantastic Suction, Quiet Motor, Utter Reliability, Easy to Service, Parts Readily Available (but never needed!)

Bad Points
Nowhere to put tools, Can be tricky to store due to long but useful hose.

General Comments
When our DC04 Dyson packed up at Christmas time, we were in a pickle. House a tip, bank balance drained and £80 Christmas money in a card from Grandma. We convinced the local vacuum store to take our old dyson and we could pay the difference for a Henry. I spent hours looking at reviews (originally I wanted a SEBO) and couldn't find anyone who had a serious complaint about the Henry. Yes there were a few grumbles like storage space but nobody could knock the performance.

Anyway, we got him home... built him in 5 minutes and I was ASTONISHED. Bear in mind we had 250 worth of Dyson in our house for the last three years, Henry was like a trojan. He gets used every day, cleaning wooden floors...quarry tiles and carpets and performs equally amazingly on all three. Better still - the smiling face encourages our 3 year old to muck in on the cleaning too!

I can honestly say that he's the best £80 we've ever spent. My mother in law can't believe the performance (against £300 of her SEBO she thinks ours is better!) and the Henry is much more suited to the usual home (vacuuming around obstacles, furniture, toilets etc) where uprights just can't get.

I've yet to block him (he cleans the open fire on his own without clogging like the dyson) and he really is a star. Don't be put off by having a bag... even at 1/2 full it still has great suction. PLUS, you don't get caked in dust when you go to the wheelie bin!

I can't praise it enough. Under half the price of a dyson and twice the performance. My sister's dad has had his 18 years and it's still going. The guy at the vacuum cleaner shop said the older ones are better and more reliable, so try and grab one on ebay or out of the local paper.

I only wish I had a mansion so I could justify two!
