The price is excellent value. No other travel company has come close, for 8 people going prenuim class. It works out about £3k cheaper than Virgin.
Also the last 2 years we have gone Sunshine First, this was execellent, the seats were really wide and you could completely stretch out your legs, sadly this year they have stopped this and gone from a 45-50 inch legroom pitch, to a rather disappoint 35 inch's.
I bookd Prenuim class and asked to book front row seats, due to my father having stiffness of the joint's in his legs. I was told that I could not book them as they had to be kept available for people that were disabled. I explained that my farther was disabled, they said that I had to complete a "Special Request Form". This I dually did and sent it off, then on Friday, 11th Jany 08, they phoned to say that we could not have fronts seats, as my father was disabled.
I have put a complaint into Customer Relations and am waiting to here from them, I am keeping my fingers crossed for a happy end result.
We have travelled about six times with Travel City Direct, over the last few years, I have been that impressed, with the services, that I have recommended them to about 5 other families, who have gone on to book holidays with them.
Unfortunately, they were taken over last year by, XL Airways Group and already the customer service is failing and the prices are rising, also in the lastest brouchure, they brag that they have a bigger ecomony pitch than Virgin, but on speaking with customer services this week, they say that ecomony is now 29inch's and not the 30-32 as advertised in there brochure. I asked could they do tis and they said "Yes" its in the small print.
All in all though, if you prefer keeping the money in your pocket rather than giving it to the Travel Agents, them I suggest giving them a go. The Accomodation is good, Florida is brilliant and I try to have as little contact with the holiday company as possible.
