General Comments

I dont have a great deal of room available now I have purchased a widescreen TV so my old Marantz KI series had to go,I replaced it with a Denon UD-M31 and was astonished at the sound quality which improved even more when I purchased Alphason speaker stands. Playing a Pacific DVD Player through it is a real experience, the bass is deep & controlled and the imaging is truly excellent in my view a top notch product at an excellent price. One small niggle, when using headphones on the CD or DVD when they are not playing, i can hear a clicking sound about every 4 secs although it is at a very low level and does not occur through the speakers.Does anyone else who has purchased one of these experience this problem?? Some advice on suitable Speaker cable and a subwoofer would be helpful as Denon don't do one.

To add to the issue over speaker cable, I have now purchased Monster XP/nw cable and fitted Gold Plated Banana Plugs at the speaker end, this cable will just go into the spring clips at the Denon end.
This has totally transformed the Clarity, Imaging & Base Weight of the system. I purchased the cable from Comet at £2.15/Mtr. In my opinion Money well spent.

On the subject of this clicking sound you mentioned, i hearded no clicking sounds through my sony headphones. I maybe your headphones or your system thats faulty. If i find a reason for your clicking problems ill write another comment.
