Good Points

The water is heated to a point sufficient for coffee.
The insulation appears to work. The water does stay hot.

Bad Points

It wastes energy - the only way to get boiling water is to empty hot water away and refill with cold. That is if you can get it to heat water at all. Any trace of warmth from a previous boil in the water is enough to prevent the element turning on.

General Comments

You need boiling water for tea but the Russell Hobbs Energy Saving Thermal kettle does not seem to provide it. br/>
Why didn't the makers simply let the water reboil.
Fortunately I have not bought one. It's in the office kitchen. I'll never buy one.
