Good Points

A truly epic storyline spanning momentous events
-Psychological issues and great involvement in the cause
- So. Much. FIREPOWER!!!!!!! The action scenes are truly awesome - one can see them happening, the mighty battles raging as combatants use every weapon known to or imagined by man, and quite a few more, to utterly obliterate their opponents.

Bad Points

-Slightly dissatisfying (if appropriate) deus ex machine ending
-'wrapped up' too fast
-not for the faint-hearted

General Comments

Peter F. Hamilton's 'The Reality Dysfunction' is a rollicking fantastic read, recommendable to anyone who enjoys sci-fi, philosophical writing, psychological reflection, mysteries, or action.

A particularly brilliant thing is the way the main topic of the book is the afterlife, religion, and the Grand Unified Theory, with so many different characters with conflicting views, and yet the author never exactly shows which view is the correct one, even though the whole thing is 'ended' quite effectively.

He never lets his own opinion show through.

Quite possibly the best series of books I have ever read. 10/10.
