Bad Points

No Dimmer functionality, Connector from the faceplate to the deck stops working properly after about a year of casual use.


General Comments

I have had my CDX-MP40 for about 3 years now. I've moved it to several different cars; it is by far my favorite receiver. Only gripes I have, are: 1) Extremely bright at night. 2) I have to clean the contacts every couple of weeks, or it will start doing random stuff (volume stops working, screen freezes, screen goes blank, looses power, etc) As for quality, when it was hooked up to the factory system in my celica, it sounded alright, but a bit more scratchy than the factory system.. but other than that, it has sounded fine.. I think I just had something hooked up wrong in that setup.
