General Comments

We flew from Johannesburg to Bangkok on the 27th. There was over 30 seats available in business class so I managed to upgrade my wife and 2 girls on board for a fee of $ 1800. I already had a business class seat and we had virtually the whole second section of business calss to ourselves. The service was brilliant and being a world traveller for business I rate Thai's business class as one of the best.

On the return ( 5th Jan 2008), the flight was overbooked, so no such luck with the family this time. Business class was overbooked so they downgraded 4 passengers to economy and boy o boy did they moan! When we got to the gate my business class seat was upgradede to 1st class. Very comfortable and just like Emirates 1st class. Service was not as great but then the flight was jammed. Food left a bit to be desired.
