IV HAD MY Vauxhall Frontera 2.2 16v ABS LWB 4X4 M REG 2DOOR FOR 2MTHS NOW AND AM VERRY HAPPY.BUT WHEN I FIRST GOT IT I WAS WORRIED ON THE STEARING AS IT SOMETIMES GO'S A LITTLE SIDE TO SIDE ON THE MOTORWAY,BUT I HAD IT ALL CHECK OUT AND IT WAS A1.IT'S ONE OF FRONTERAS LITTLE THINGS AS THE STEARING IS A NOT THE SAME AS A NORMAL CAR,ECT.
BUT NOW USED TO IT.EVERY LOOKS AT YOU AS DRIVING A 4X4 IT THE THING A ROUND MY AREA .I JUST LOVE IT NEED I SAY ANY MORE

    I think I was the very first to post under Frontera on this site (2.0 Sport). Reading the reviews here it seems clear to me that if you get a GOOD Frontera then you'll have years of reliable, fun motoring out of it. However, there seem to be cars that have been nothing but trouble since leaving the plant at Luton. These examples have made the Frontera one of the most argued over, contentious vehicles in the UK. We all know to avoid ANY Freelander (especially the 1.8) - we all know that ANY Mazda should be a good one! If only manufacturers could maintain standards of workmanship each and every day in UK car plants it would be so nice! On the subject of steering. Yes, Fronteras need constant "correcting" - but there is nothing wrong here. The huge tyres and rims are in fact more cosmetic than functional as the Frontera would still be an able off road vehicle on narrower rims (but not have that "look"). Keep them serviced (the Haynes Manual to 98 is really good), and once again, look out for noisy diffs., failed heater matrix, engine management faults; and frequent oil, filter changes, and cambelt (where fitted - some diesels have a chain).

    why you say only 6 for practicle?
    They are rather big, so they must be able to carry a lot! Do they take up too much space?
