Poor customer servive
I have experienced numerous problems since buying a brand new Micra in 2004, the most recent and expensive problem being the timing chain. The engine warning light came on so I took it to my local Nissan dealership while it was still under warranty on two occasions.
On both occasions they told me it had been repaired and when it was out of it's warranty (a matter of 1 week later), they told me it needed a new timing chain which would cost around £1200.
They told me this without looking at it a third time, therefore they must have known the problem all along. I contacted Nissan who said that they would not contribute as it was a different problem to when it was first taken in. I am disgusted at the way I was treated by Nissan and the Nissan dealership and feel quite certain that I would not have been treated like an idiot if I were a man. I will never purchase another Nissan and am keen to warn others of my experiences so that as few people as possible can be treated in this way.
