Good Points

Small, neat, rechargeable.


Bad Points

Car plug in is tight as hell. New dowload system requires £100 up front! Display is TINY. Does not get close to my PDA with TOMTOM 5. But it's a reasonable backup if you can get it cheap enough.


General Comments

When I bought mine, Halfords "expert" told me that the Sapphire plus did the same as the Camera detector but with Cameras for free. Also that I could get the updates on monthly DD. WRONG on BOTH COUNTS.
Check the manual, which says (page 9) that there is a £4.95 a month option. 6 months free THEN minimum contract 6 months.
So don't expect to pay ANYTHING for 6 months.
If it turns out to be crap who wants to pay £190 plus another £100? Snooper won't admit to the existence of the DD option unless you read them the extract from their own manual.
