Good Points

For the most part, this is a solid gun
Good value for money

Bad Points

The pop-up breech wobbles quite a bit once the rifle is cocked, I can imagine it falling out if the gun were turned upside down at any point during the loading process

General Comments

I've had this gun since September and thought it about time to write a quick review, however brief. I haven't used the gun a huge amount so my opinions here do not necessarily represent fact.

The Weihrauch HW57 is a nice gun, with good looks (although not the best) and a solid feel. As in the 'good points', the breech wobbles a substantial amount when the gun is cocked, so be careful. It's worth remembering that, especially in .177, this rifle is fiddly to load and has a long loading process - so don't expect any quick follow up shots. The firing cycle is as follows: cock, load, reset the underlever, push breech back in (important!) and disengage safety. Remember that this model much like many others in the Weihrauch range has a one way safety - once disengaged there's no going back without cocking the rifle again.

The one thing to say about this gun is that there are no real fantastic points, not are there significant issues. The HW57 will do the job, and is good for the money. However, if you're looking for that legendary Weihrauch quality then it might be worth looking elsewhere - the HW77 would be a better choice for more serious shooters.
