General Comments
Dubai to Rome via Athens & return with Olympic Airlines. Every flight started late. Service generally indifferent - not as cheery and engaging as most. Food was different - but slow coming on the return flight. FA's not very 'present' - ie served and then disappeared! Both flights had limited in-flight entertainment (headphones and ceiling screens). Amusing to see the greek travelogue on the way HOME from Greece! and the "in-flight calisthenics" clip was run about 30 minutes out from landing back in Dubai! Music selection was limited to hip-hop / Greek music from the archives: worst hits from yesteryear by unknown artists! But somehow, they've managed to put their seats about 5cm higher than everyone else and so I actually had room to stretch my legs (I'm tall!) - a nice compensation! And wouldn't it be nice and good PR if airlines were to upgrade some of the cattle class passengers to business class when there are spare seats! OA seem to guard that curtain with a passion.
