General Comments
I was looking for some good quality, great sounding speakers, for my laptop. The V20's looked just the job. They are two speakers connected to each other via a standard jack, and powered from a USB port. I didn't want anything big (certainly not with a seperate Sub woofer), and that could be carted on various business trips.
Out of the box, they come in a very snazzy hard case. It is very easy to connect up, and the controls on the top of one of the speakers are pretty straightforward. There is no installation disc.
However, my Vista enabled laptop didn't recognise the speakers, and it was a bit of a faff sorting it out. Basically you need to go into Control Panel, Sound, and set as default speaker, then reboot. My only other gripe are the buttons on the top of the speaker. I know they need to be solid, so that they don't vibrate, but they just don't feel very 'satisfactory'.
Other than that, the sound quality is fantastic. I have cranked the volume right up and it still plays beautifully. I particularly liked the sound of my Ska MP3's played through it, but Punk and Electronica also sound awesome. CD's sound very bright.
I highly recommend these speakers.
