Sometimes the software corrupts the cd

Well i got my Sony CRX185A1 Cd-Writer about a year ago , And i have written over 1600 cds and about 30 re-writables , So far the drive has given me no problems ,
Sony is a good brand and i think you should buy it straight off , I also own the latest sony writer which can write at 50X speed , but i have never tried it out .

i have bought a sony cdrw crx185a1.32X10X40 when i copy a cd it takes me about 30 min. with my old cdrw 8x4x32 copies a cd in 10 min. whats wrong with it.
