I can throw a BB with greater velocity than this gun can produce
I use these realistic air pistols in training before allowing cadets to touch the real guns. In this respect, the Umarex Walther PPK/S BB pistol excels, in most others it fails.
While loading the co2 and bbs is easy enough, jacking the slide can be an exercise in futility. It quite often hangs up and requires you remove the magazine to rack it forward again.
Shooting can be a matter of luck. I've tried steel, lead and copper bbs without any great degree of success. When it does fire you can watch the bb slowly arc towards the target. Once had a cadet take a shot at a paper target at 25 feet and he managed to hit the stick holding the target. Not only did he fail that exam but the bb bounced back at us after bouncing off the stick!
Of note, one realistic feature it does have is "web pinch". I've had a few cadets find out the hard way you don't choke up on an automatic pistol (if you do, the slide comes back and slices the web between your thumb and forefinger).
If it wasn't for the realistic looks, I would have dumped this pistol a long time ago.
