1986 924S 29K miles from new! Great smooth looks, (I don't like the add ons on 944). Great fun to drive, adequate power with good brakes and fast safe cornering. You cannot buy this quality of build for anywhere near the prices they now sell for!!
I have the part cloth seats which are showing some wear even though I have them covered..looking for full tan leathers. I have the original steering wheel so getting in and out is a bit inelegant, but very small problems.
Fantastic timeless classic. Rustproof body and chassis; engine good for 200K miles+, with a bit of care. Fuel consumption not too bad, if you don,t red line it too often! Very easy to drive in town and even makes motorway driving enjoyable. Very cheap insurance (£120 a year fully comp on 1,500 miles per year). Room for 4 (just), but my German Shepherd loves it. Space in the boot for full sets of golf clubs in the bags.
