Battery life only 2 hours. Please people never buy the Canon G9. This item is in my opinion, terrible.

I'm glad I didn't listen to your advice. Great camera, GREAT BATTER LIFE if you use your head. If yours is only lasting 2 hrs, I suggest either you have a fault or you are running your TV from the camera LOL . . .

The battery is the same as that in the EOS D-SLR and in fact lasts quite well. The only negative is limited warning of battery expiry. Only getting 2 hours sounds questionable, maybe a badly conditioned battery or heavy use in video mode?
