General Comments

I have had my 2002 audi a4 2.0 TDI se for 2 years now and i have had some unpleasent experiences. a few weeks after i got it the engine management light came on and i took it to the audi dealership and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it and so they just reset the light and sent me on my way. a few days later the engine management light came back on and i took it back to the dealership and they then realised it was a cracked air intake hose and they replaced it and the car drove well for a couple of months then the engine management light came back on and this time i never bothered to take it in. a few days later the engine started idling very unevenly and one morning the car had a very rough idle and didn't have any power to pull away. i called audi and they said i would have to get it towed in and it would probably take a few days for them to look at it as they were quite busy. a few days later i called them up and they told me one of the coil packs had packed up and i had to get it replaced and said the other ones are likely to go as well but couldn't replace them as they were still ok and replacing them would mean my warranty wouldn't cover them. i then got my car back a few days later and it was driving ok and a few months later the engine management light came back on and i started getting intermittent uneven idles while the car was driving. i then took the car back to audi and they said it was a faulty temperature sensor as it determined how much fuel to send to the engine. i then got it replaced and so far the car has been driving ok but i have never had so many problems with one car especially one that is fairly new and i think audi need to address their quality issues before they start to lose customers like us.
