You get a tiny amount of coffee so you have to use double the amount for normal mug, that could be four capsules if you have a latte (2 coffee and 2 milk) which works out at about 75p a cup.
You can't recycle the capsules! It shocked me that in this climate that Braun have created such a wasteful product. I feel guilty each time I have a cuppa.
To be frank I think I'll stick to my regular espresso machine - cheaper to run, better drink, compostable waste and satisfying preparation.
Very limited range of about 30 drinks. I like to treat myself to Illy or special roasts in department stores and I can't use these.

The concentrated milk for the cappuccino tastes artificial - like UHT or a nasty creamer. I couldn't finish the drink. Heat your own milk and use a mini whisk. If you're doing that you might as well not bother with this machine! No coffee shop I've ever been to uses anything but fresh milk, so why create such a nasty tasting lookalike?

I was given this as a present and i feel guilty that I don't like it and don't want to use it.

I would not recommend buying one. Looking around it looks like the Senseo machines offer a refillable holder for your own coffee. This would lower costs and waste.

The Braun website carefully avoids the question of recycling the capsules - it only talks of the cardboard box and the wrapper.
