General Comments

I used the card for a little over one year hoping to gain United mileage. The card had had problems since the beginning. First problem: fraudulent charges appeared 3 times for 3 consecutive months, and Chase did not do one thing, from investigating the charges to contacting the other parties who charged me nor blocking them from continuing to apply fraudulent charges to my account. I had to make many many phone calls to finally clear the charges. Second problem: 1 day late due to system failure and got both late fee and finance charge. Frustrated, I called and talked to an account supervisor named April requesting to close the account. The supervisor asked me to wait until finance charge appeared and call back, promised she WOULD remove the charge. I asked if that would be too late to remove the annual membership fee, which had just begun for the upcoming year and she said NO. When I actually called back, I could not get to talk to her but to another staff member, who refused to honor the other supervisor's decision. She even refused to remove the membership fee even though the reason I hung on to the card was to wait for the appearance of the finance charge, and it was not even 60 days (a period for which the fee can still be reimbursed, according to a different agent). She finally lifted the fee after hearing enough of my screaming through the phone.

If you have to use a visa, I recommend you to use a different company.
