General Comments

This is my second big Daytona. I managed to write the first one off whilst touring in France last year but liked it so much I bought another. All I can say is it is a superb bike and as long as you are not interested in the latest/greatest pocket rocket from any of the Japanese companies will serve you well.

A GSXR1000/Fireblade/R1/ZX10R will beat it on a track but I don't ride on a track, I ride on the road and this is a brilliant road bike. It's big enough for me (I'm 6'3"), comfy and stable. And fast when you want it to be. It has oodles of low down torque and masses of power so the speed is sometimes deceptive. Theres no top end rush, just an extremely rapid linear increase in speed that keeps going and going until you reach the far side of 165mph.

I've toured round Europe on it with no problems (apart from the crash but that was my fault not the bike's and it still got me home) but I do wish I could add a top box for security when touring but Givi do not do fittings for the 955.

Would recommend it to anyone.
