Bad Points
Being very picky, the stop bar tail piece is slightly annoying when changing strings. These (like all Pauls) are quite heavy, so can lead to neck and back ache after a longer gig.
General Comments
The Gibson Les Paul Studio, Electric Guitar is beautiful to look at and sounds a dream, just like a standard but very slightly more treble - perfect for the rockier blues numbers. Low action with 10s is perfectly possible without losing the tone. I now have two of these wonderful guitars, having been a Stratman for more than 30 years this is quite an achievement! If you are looking for a great gigging guitar with all the Les Paul sounds but without the big price tag, this is the one. Now that they come with a proper hard case, it is difficult for most of us to justify the extra money for a standard.
