General Comments
Seat, entertainment and flight attendant attitude are acceptable, like other non-budget airlines. I do appreciate its effort in giving each passenger a small video screen, just that I would prefer big projected screens on other airlines which are much more comfortable to look at.
Food is an area it scores low. On my two flights, fried rice that appeared like porridge, stirred-fried chicken that was too dry and tasteless, dessert that was too hard and the accompanied coconut milk too thick, just do not live up to the reputation of the airline and do not justify the relatively-high prices it charged. I used Thai Airways more often, and have never encountered such disappointments.
I am a normal passenger who always travels in economy class, literally finish all the food given to me, does not need special meal, does not ask for special drink and alcohol, and am all right with the absence of extraordinary care or personal entertainment. It seems that for such ordinary requirements, Singapore Airlines is in the average band.
