The Renault Scenic is a good all round family MPV. it is spacious, generally comfortable and comes with respectable levels of standard kit. the drivers seat offers enough adjustment for some, but others may find more adjustment is needed. if you opt for the dynamique model, you will find automatic lights and wipers, air conditioning, 16 inch alloy wheels and a cd player as standard. in my opinion, this is the model of choice.
However, the 1.5 diesel engine is noticeably underpowered, and struggles up hills and on country roads. you will also find that the car needs to be pushed hard to keep up with the flow of traffic, and motorway driving means sitting with the car at 3000 of the available 5000-6000 rpm. Other rivals such as the Ford C-Max provide a much sportier drive, with more feel in the steering.
In my opinion, it would be wise to buy this car with the 1.5 diesel engine only if you rarely leave the city. Around town, it is easy to drive, but difficult to park due to the disappointing turning circle. But otherwise, this is generally a respectable family car.
