Classic Kona handling.
Well made strong, light frame.
Rugged reliable drive train and gears
I found the stem far too short.
Mechanical brakes needed adjustment too frequently as you adjust one pad and allow for disc distortion to contact the fixed disc.
Dart 2 forks are very agricultural and heavy too.
Seat far too wide for serious peddling.
Swapping to Hayes 9 HFX hydraulics -were not much more powerful, but didn't constantly need adjusting
Stem changed to 110 cm with oversize bars at the same time.
Seat changed to much narrower BodyFit Titanium
Forks changed for Manitou R7 Elites
I now have a superb XC hardtail, light enough to lift over gates and stiles.
Used the mechanical discs on my wife's Rockhopper and sold the rest on eBay, (so got most of my upgrade costs back)
Now better than the Caldera!
