Good Points

Beautiful fit and finish, adjustable power, 10 shot mag. Key swith to shut down gun.

Bad Points

Heavy for a hunter, and its so nice you are always worried about scratching it. Point of impact would shift when new, I have working that problem ever since I got the gun. In .22 cal it is under powered, at 23 FPE its just too low for long range hunting.

General Comments

I was on the waiting list for almost 6 months. When I first opened the box I thought WOW, what a beautiful gun, the workmanship of the Daystate MK3 is wonderful. The first groups were enough cool me off, they would shift about an inch at 27 yards, I found that the barrel would rest on the air chamber and would set in a new position from shot to shot. AOA explained to me that the barrel was suppose to freefloat inside of the barrel band, since mine wasn't I had to take a die grinder and ream out the inside botton part to create clearance, it helped alot.
I bought the gun in .22 cal so I could hunt and do FT, with the adjustable power, but it is just too underpowered for me. So I just recieved a .177 barrel and parts so I can convert it. I guess only time will tell if this gun is worth the almost $1500. The powerplant has been good so far, the reg keeps shots very consistant. At 3000 psi I got 70 full power shots in .177,840 fps with 10.5 grain CPH.
I wish that Daystate would have done a little more work before they released it in the States. Maybe as time goes on they will clean up the loose ends.

I got my moderator o-ringed a few months ago but it has been too cold for any real testing until now. This weekend I put 400 Crossman Premier heavies, lubed with Slick 50 One lube spray through the gun from the Seated FT position. I shot at an FT target with a 1/2 inch hole at 25 and 35 yards. There were some misses but the vast majority were hitting the paddle. The O-ring between the moderator and the barrel tie has seemed to solve all of my POI shift problems. I am very pleased with this gun now and would highly recommend it.
