General Comments

We were asked by Direct Holidays what was the best part of the holiday and I said "going out". We had a scout hut type of room without being to move around much as it was topped up with furniture. The water being cold 99% of the time and the breakfast was stone cold all the time. This incidentally was what Direct Holidays called "upgrading" when the hotel we had booked with was perfectly ok.

I have also just returned from the Sun palace (8 oct - 15 oct) and I think your review is unfair.

The Cold Water - I take it you mean the pool - well what did you expect its not susposed to be a heated swimming pool, the whole idea of a pool is to cool off after sun bathing !!!!! and after a few minuetes of being in their you got used to it.

The cold Food - I am a very fussy eater and i managed to eat a well balanced and heathly meal every meal time, as for it being cold I think you are exgarrating.

The Room - Ok so they are a bit dated but they are still usuable, I had Three Single beds, two bedside units, one dressing table and two side storage units and a built in wardrobe in my room and I still had ample space for three suitcases, two hand luggage bags, seven pairs of shoes, and all the shopping I was doing whislt there!!!,

    Well Lisa,

You were lucky then that's all I can say. When I said about cold water, I meant in the bathroom not the pool.

Take it from me the food I ate WAS COLD. If you like fried eggs and sausages cold, then good luck to you. But as I won't be returning there. it won't affect me anymore!

I visited the Sun Palace a few weeks ago and had a wonderful holiday. With all due respect the person that wrote the review was overcritical.

The hotel was more than adequate, we found the rooms to be clean and comfortable, the range of activities and facilites good, and the staff were always friendly and helpful.

So what if the rooms are a bit dated, who spends all the holiday in the room any way? While i was there in September someone was moaning their was'nt any apple pie and custard on the menu. If you want english food stick to skegness. To me the sun palace hotel was faultless, we loved it. We also found the people of rhodes to be very friendly and helpful, not like the spanish who at times can be ignorant. For those who have'nt been to faliraki, brilliant!! sun palace is worth staying in
