General Comments

Ok, I posted a review a few weeks ago on this phone. Ignore it completely, I must have been drunk. Well actually I've been using one for 4 days now, and now can safely say that it is unwise to get a Motorola T720i. I've now had three motorolas now, and none of them had any user friendly menus. Nokia still have the very user-friendly and easy-use menu. They are (or at least were) up to date with the latest features. On this phone, you can only store voice tags to names if you store the name to the phone.

Anyway, back to the T720i. It was a LOT bigger than it looked on the internet and in catalogues. When you use it, it gives a hell of a lot of squeeking and creaking sounds, and feels like a cheap toy that you get with a mcdonalds happy meal. The screen, when you look at it from an angle goes all blue. Then you've got your camera. The photos are of rubbish quality, and are almost always very dark. Maybe it's like that with all phones though.

Ok. Now the design... The kaypad layout looks like designers spend all of 5 minutes on it. Very old fashion, and the send and end keys are also the wrong way round. (why did they do this?) The phone itself when opened is HUGE!! Looks like a StarTAC. Very boxy styling as well, and the external screen is rectangular. It still feels big in you pocket, and even the battery cover feels like a piece of card. They soon have the V300 coming out but I wouldn't bet on it being any good.

Take my word for it - NEVER BUY A MOTOROLA!

If you want features and the latest technology, go for sony-ericsson.

If you want style, go for samsung.

If you want a good all-round phone, go for nokia.
