hunter9's Review of Shanghai Airgun Factory B3-3
4th Oct 2003
Overall Rating
- Value for money

It packs quite a punch and is fairly accurate and consistant. The sights are good as well. The wood stock is nice. It is easy to cock and load for 850 fps.
Bad Points
It doesnt shoot a longer hunting pellet very well and the rear sight doesnt move down low enough. It is very heavy.
General Comments

on 31st Jan 2004After the gun quits dieseling which is a long time, it will shoot in the range of 600fps. I have 3 of them and have chronied all of them after the dieseling stopped (when it was finally broken in). None of these Chinese guns with the exception of the 3 or 4 most expensive ones comes near any of the advertised velocities of 700+ fps

Certain details mark it as the unmistakable close cousin of the almost-bottom-feeder guns such as the B3, ... This gun can shoot with 3" at 25 yards ... ... This Shanghai QB88 was my first springer airgun.

The B3-3 is grooved for scope also, ... It is now more commonly known as= the XS-B3, presumably because Shanghai Air Gun Factory is making nearly = all the guns coming into this country.

How many companies produce the B3? I am interested in the B3-1 and it seems that INDUSTRY, SMK, and SHANGHAI AIRGUN all make this model. And what is the REAL fps on these? I have seen from 420 to 850fps at various sites. One site even said that the .177 and the .22 caliber were both 700fps. Seems odd to me.
