The Beeman is very accurate out of the box.
Nicely finished full stock.
Nicely blued metal.
Hard hitting.
In my opinion the Beeman is expensive.
Heavy.
Fiddley saftey.
Wow! What a great rifle. Mine had no "buzzy" noises unlike some of my other rifles, just a satisfying "thunk" when fired.
In my opinion the Beeman rifle is on the heavy side but it really isn't an issue for big guy's like me. You will immediately see the accuracy potential right away. Cocking is not as hard as I thought it would be, only slightly heavier than my RWS M34.
Mine is a .177 and shoots on a very flat trajectory, and even without a chonograph seems to have the muzzle velocity as advertised, about 950fps even with heavier Beeman Silver Ace pellets.
Apparently there are different caliber barrels available that can be interchanged if desired, but my goal is to have an R1 in .20 and .22 as well so I wont have to mess with changing barrels.
Spend the money, buy an R1, and be amazed.
