Good Points

Staff were amazing and offered a personal service from cabin, restaurant staff through to the cruise directer- they cannot be faulted!
ship was kept clean and polished!
Food was ok, would have been nice to experience more localised fare, and if items offered on menu were true to the recipe and therefore expectations.
there was however plenty of food.
Met some excellent people.


Bad Points

ship broke down, not once but twice. ship also broke down on cruise prior to ours. Excursions were silly prices and we had not been able to budget for these.
water was overcharged and as this is a needed item we felt this was unfair.
Toilets were unable to flush solids.
a/c ummmmmm was there any?
Ship did not seem in a sea worthy state- cargo sure, people no.
being sat in the dock going no where for over a day, only having a few hours in the Seychelles instead of the 2 days, and only having less than half a day in Zanzibar, of course the excursions were still run, although amended.
sorry not a good experience.
Read small print,, if any port is missed for any reason its hard luck!
entertainments, dancers were clever, the singers however would suite a bingo hall.
Maybe a movie could be shown every evening to give people choice?


General Comments

my advice is don't do it, unless you are used to sub-standard quality and then you will be pleased.
I am however used to quality and value for money this was not offered by the cruise line.
the ship is far to old and is due to be scrapped in 2 years [2010] so there will undoubtedly be no improvements.
I do not expect to be told upon boarding the ship "she is old, but we try to colour her grey to make her look young" this didn't work for me, sure the ship has wonderful charm but needs a complete refit, will this happen? I don't think so.
