Been using actinic for some time, v6, then v61.5, I tried the v8 but for me it was just to complicated. I am no stranger to the actinic system but in my opinion v8 is a nightmare.
It's relatively easy to add products, I also like the tree system, and the hide on site option is useful when items go out of stock, some of the templates are ok
As mentioned before, permission problems are a nightmare, in my experience the 30 days telephone support was unhelpful, try three years because I was still encountering problems for this long, I cant find a spell check, and some hosts wont touch it so you are restricted to those who will support it, not ideal for me.
If I had not payed so much money for this software, I would have ditched it a long time ago, I tried v8 thinking that it may improve things, now I am no stranger to the actinic system but v8 was a nightmare for me, so the order of the day is do a lot of research and try and get it right first time.
