Good Points

The handling is just sublime! The car offers the most space (even in the rear when the front seats have been pushed all the way back), and the best driving experience for the money. The economy of my diesel (2.0 TDCi 115bhp) averages around 42mpg.

Bad Points

The engine is not at all reliable at higher mileages. It just seems to be one thing after another. The engine had a problem whereby it would cut out unexpectedly and not restart for a few minutes/hours. This was found to be caused by a faulty cam-shaft and crank-shaft sensors- although the main dealer couldn't find any faults until several days of looking. Mpg has recently has dropped to 35mpg! I've searched the internet and read many peoples comments on various threads and forums and I have found that many people are experiencing a wide range of problems with their Mondeos.

General Comments

I love the way it delivers a relaxed and refined drive. The ride is beautifully smooth. There is plenty of pull from even the basic diesel engine. There is loads of space and it handles like a sports car. Mine is the estate and it is HUGE with the seats folded flat. It is definitely the best looking estate especially in SILVER and it is perfectly laid out inside. If this car was reliable (it isn't) it would definitely be better than others costing twice as much.
