The broadband connection during weekday/daytime is usually stable, although never anywhere near the 8Mb speed promised.
Weekends, and all evenings - the service is prone to numerous random disconnections. When you get re-connected, the connection speed is always slower. It is not unusual to be disconnected several times in an hour.
I play online games, and it is frustrating to be constantly getting disconnected from Karoo Max.
Karoo advertise a broadband service delivering speeds of up to 8Mb. I've never had a speed close to 8Mb.
I can live with the usual 2 to 3 MB speed, but the constant disconnections is hard to bear.
Kingston Communications have a monopoly in Hull, and therefore their Karoo offshoot is the only ISP available to Hull residents. They are able to charge high prices for a sub standard service.
The Karoo helpline is next to useless. Their usual advice is to turn your PC off, and then on again!! Thanks for the helpful advice.
I would love to change to another ISP, but am stuck with Karoo for the above reasons.
