Good Points

It's light weight, relativly quiet, .22 caliber, and well built. The Crossman 2289G can be used as a pistol, (but a very awkward pistol). It's easy to pump, you can make your own pump handle and stock, and you can choose between peep sight or notch sight.

Bad Points

Sights are hard to sight in, there is no way to mount a scope, and you need to pump 10 times to get full power.

General Comments

I bought the Canadian version of this gun at Canadian tire for about $124.99. I do not regret my choice at all, I own about 6 airguns (including this one) so I can compare it to my other airguns. It is easy tp pump and is quite accurate. The .22 cal pellets have alot of force when they hit a target. I use crosman wadcutters and it works pretty good. The trigger pull is very nice, it is very light so kids can use it with ease. You have a choice between a peep sight or a notch sight. You can even make your own stock and pump handle if you have the tools to do so. I shoot it in my basement at about 30 feet and it is dead on accurate ( I've hit push pins at that range). Something I would change though, I would make it have rails to mount a scope or red dot sight. It is well put together and feels very strong in your hand. I would definatly recomend it to friends. It will make a good starter gun or plinker, but if you are a hunter you might want to look for a diferent gun because the pumping can scare the animals away.
