My Complaint To ITV: After seeing the last few of your pro gramme I feel I had to email in as I can't believe how you can get away with saying its done in 60 minutes. I am appalled at the poor workmanship carried out - not through the fault of the workers but the time scale set (yes i know thats the idea of the show). The amount of paint left on the ceilings after the rooms are 'finished,' in particular the Alresford show where the blinds in the kids room didn't fit the window and the blind on the kitchen outside door looked completely hashed, until it was removed for the family when they came in to see it. I've seen times where you've painted over borders and when the room was finished you could see it peeling away. Paint spilt on carpets, then furniture put over it so its not seen. Either you leave it like that for the families to deal with once you've gone or you put it right once cameras aren't filming (I'm going with the later). In which case you are deceiving your viewers, not a first I'm sure. I think the designers are ok, Terri is Brill and you can see the team work hard, but the show is just unrealistic and finished to a very poor standard. I can't see how people can stand there and say they are pleased with the work thats been done when there are blobs of paint on the ceilings etc. You should also be aware that more often than not, especially in today's episode you can tell the father could notice it as he kept looking up at the mess. I'm just waiting for the day when someone turns round and says, 'you missed a bit' or 'thats a bloody mess', well maybe they already have - I guess we wouldn't see it anyhow. I just pray that no-one in my family has a bump to the head and thinks its a good idea to surprise me with a 60mm, I would be fuming.
