Good Points

Brightest 2-cell AA lite out there. Only one I know of that can focus.

Bad Points

I have two of these and both failed within a week. Instead of reliably turning on, they flash and flicker. Sometimes slapping it around will make it stay on for 2 or 3 seconds, then it flickers off again. VERY UNRELIABLE. MagLite has lost their reputation for quality, so far as I'm concerned.

General Comments

It is true that the factory will repair them free of charge, but you have to get it there, and back. My advice: DON'T BUY ONE OF THESE UNTIL THEY REDESIGN THEM FOR RELIABILITY. TOO MUCH HASSLE.
Is a beam-focus worth all this, when there are plenty of other lights that reliably STAY ON?
