None for the price
If you have the money to buy a Gison Les Paul, you would not be reading this review anyway, so any prospective Epiphone buyers, read on. I have heard that earlier models of this guitar were not as good as the new ones. I have a 2007 model and I must tell you, it is really really nice for the price. It was only $499 US dollars and it plays like it should have cost $1,500. I comes with grover tuners and some decent sounding alnico humbuckers. I am planning on swapping out the pickups with some EMG's I have, but the original pickups are not bad. A friend of mine came over recently and brough his $7K custom made Gibson over. We both plugged up to my Marshall half stack and the Epi sounded better. I am not even joking. It was richer, had better tonal qualities and also stayed in tune. He had to keep tuning his D string on his expensive Gibson. If you want a Paul and cannot afford Gibson prices, buy this one. I recommend you play it first though because each one is set up differently.
