General Comments

The bike I'm reviewing is a 2005 Brazilian produced version. She's a Brazilian alright and doesn't like the cold much. Starting after a week in the cold and rain she'll take a while to warm up - think choke and throttle but don't flood her. Generally, starts first time. Gear shift first to second must be firm or you'll end up, at best, red faced - in neutral - with a taxi honking like mad behind you. Handling is good for her size and power but be sure to shift attention to the rear break in the wet. Suspension is firm but deals with minor potholes easily. Acceleration is OK and full throttle will see off most saloons. However, be prepared to have a number of cars racing you on the basis that the bike looks slow - and in fact isn't very fast. Fuel economy of 95-100 miles per gallon around town is easy to achieve. Hills can be a challenge so think about building up speed first. The wing mirrors give a good view behind and rarely conflict with car mirrors when filtering. Overall a reliable bike, brisker than she looks and inexpensive to run. Other bikers will turn their nose up at you, as will most car drivers. Filtering past the latter will drive some crazy. When it comes down to it they're just jealous that your riding a nice little Brazilian... Haven't tried taking a pillion yet but am definitely up for a threesome, if she's petite that would be a bonus..
