Standard sights are great for aiming, but very delicate.
My Beeman 1040 series is the Chinese version. The wood stock is beautifully finished and the metal parts are smooth and well blued. A solid, well balanced rifle with excellent accuracy and power. Standard sights are easy to use and grooves on receiver allow mounting a scope, which I did. Barrel lockup is solid and makes use with a scope accurate and repeatable. Good value for the money. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the rifle. Only reason I don't give it a 10 is the delicate sights.
