good car until the turbo blows up and kills the engine, cost over £2000 to replace with no help from Renault, despite the turbo being a known fault.
The 1.9 DCi is prone to blow a turbo and this in turn can kill your engine(it did mine) £900 for a new turbo in Aug 07 engine blew up doing 50 and had to bump onto central reservation to stop. Terrifying, just glad I didn't have the kids with me.
No help from Renault, despite having car for 1 month never even looked at it. Garage bill of over £1000 to replace engine with recon. Had no car since Sep 07 2007(3 months) and still not fixed. Do not buy Renault they are dangerous. I am warning you before it happens to you. Look at forums on Renault engines there are many many cases, VOSA surely know about this danger too, and still no recall to these cars.
