I applied for a business overdraft 6 months ago. It was declined because they said they didn't have enough information about my finances. I HAVE HAD MY BUSINESS ACCOUNT (and ordinary account) WITH THEM FOR OVER SEVEN YEARS! I did eventually get my overdraft after persistent phonecalls and faxes. The service is rubbish, I have stuck with them because they offer free banking but you as the saying goes 'there's no such thing a free lunch'.
What really made me laugh is the little business booklet they have (you can pick it up from your local branch) there's loads of "helpful" advice and a good scattering of quotes from businesses who use Abbey, talking about the invaluable help their personal business advisor gave them. Do they actually exist?
