Very accurate, powerful, good looks, very fun.
Bad Points
Expensive (90 pounds) C02 runs out fast.
General Comments
ThE Crosman CK92 is a brilliant c02 pistol apart from the price. For 90 pounds and the price of c02 canisters which are about 80p each. Apparently you can get about 40 shots from each canister, but the power goes down rapidly. The firsh shot is of amazing power, then the next say 15 shots are powerful but after that they are less powerful and after about 30 shots they will be very weak. This may sound bad but its still a very very good gun and its fun rating is through the roof. It apparently has 435-fps. In my view is hugely accurate. It holds an 8 round revolving clip inside the gun which does not show on the outside. But I do believe it is quite a rare pistol.

on 4th Oct 2003No problem mate - EVERYTHING I read about guns is interesting. Haven't yet decided which POCKETABLE CO2 pistol to buy and am still ploughing through all the reviews. I envy the guys who live near the suppliers and can actually see and handle the guns.

on 5th Oct 2003Well, i'm one of the lucky ones because i have a sorta army shop just down the road. Look at this website: www.bbguns.co.uk - it's a good site. Good luck with the searching.

on 5th Oct 2003Yeah, thanks mate - just had a shufti. There's some interesting stuff on there especially those electric powered jobbies and not expensive either.
Hmmm...electric - I know a little bit about things electric - used to teach the subject in a Skillcentre (remember those?) many years ago.
Again Hmmm...

on 6th Apr 2004Yes, mate....71 in June. Although I ran an electronics class, Friday afternoons were devoted to airguns. Your grandad will tell you what machine shop facilities were available in skillcentres.
The politicians closed them all down. Now there is a shortage of skilled workers!!
Hope you have safe and happy shooting...take care.
PS...Why not ask admin about your posts?platinum matt
on 12th Apr 2004Bertie, could you please inform me....what is a rimfire rifle and what's a centerfire rifle?
Thanks..Bertie

on 18th Apr 2004A centrefire is where the firing pin strikes a spot in the centre of the rear of the cartridge whereas a rimfire's firing pin strikes the rim which is sensitive all round so the cartridge doesn't have to be 'positioned'.
As far as I know, all cartridges above .22 cal. are centrefire and all .22 cal. I know of are rimfire.
Bertie.

Very interesting, platinum matt. I had my S&W 586 6in. two days ago and like your gun, the power does tail off towards the end of the capsule's life which is only to be expected as there's no regulator.
My piece is rated at 393 ft/sec. (this must vary according temperature, surely) and I've used 3 capsules No. 1 - 65 shots, No. 2 - 68 shots and No. 3 - 69 shots.
The maximum muzzle energy, with Hobby 7.0 grain pellets, is between 2 and 2.5 ft/lbs as near as I can measure on a home-made ballistic pendulum - in fact, a reading just a little down on my Baikal IZH-61.
It's enough for what I want, i.e. FUN!
If yer want the power, yer use yer gas! Have fun mate.
