We ate at the New Angel on Wednesday 19th September 07. We loved it and thought the food was fantastic and the best we had tasted. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff too.
General Comments
Cant wait to return when we visit Dartmouth in June 08 and this time will try to go more than once.

Hi Joanne, I live in Brisbane, Australia and tonight we saw the last of the TV "The New Angel" experience from 2005 (January 2008). Although I am of British 'stock' I have not had the pleasure of visiting the UK yet. My husband and I (and our future 12 year old chef) loved the show, we actually were wondering if the restaurant was "still a goer" to use Aussie terms!! Great to see that it still. (according to the internet). Does John and his fabulous family still own it????? Anyway, if I am fortunate to visit Britain, Dartmouth will be a favoured destination, as well as Yorkshire (my Grandmother was born in Bradford, and I'm studying Victorian Literature at Master's level - the lure of the Brontes and Haworth !! ) Surprising what a small world it really is. We love the BBC/ABC programmes, sometimes it is difficult since there is that time gap of a couple of years and that leaves us in suspense!! Anyway, if John and his family are still in residence and would like to reply I would love to hear from them.Roslyn.
