Bad Points

No lens cover, digital zoom

General Comments

This was my first experience of a digital camera and I have not been disappointed. The 1280 x 960 resolution together with the wide-angle lens gives incredibly sharp pictures with accurate colours. It's worth forking out the extra to get the NiMH batteries and additional 32Mb card, which can store 50 pics at the highest quality. The NiMH batteries last OK, but the camera sucks the life out of ordinary batteries at the same speed as the shutter.

The camera is easy to use, and copes well with a wide range of light conditions even on the automatic setting. Internet Cameras also chuck in a mini-tripod, which is handy for close-up macro shots. One review said that the camera wasn't too good with landscapes, but I've not noticed any major problems.

Bad points are the lack of a lens cover and / or a camera case - this seems a bit stingy for a camera at this price. The 2x digital zoom is also a pointless feature I wont use - you may as well take the photo at the highest resolution and use your software package to zoom in. A battery back-up for the clock would have been more useful.

A word of warning - don't edit the data directly on the memory card through Windows Explorer - Fuji aren't kidding when they say it mangles the card. Thanks to Fuji for re-formatting the card & returning it within a couple of days!
