After two weeks, the dishwahser model SHY66CO5UC--Bosch's top of the line, including top rack only wahing option-- stopped working. I don't know any good points. The motor, board and starter did not function. After 18 days they are being replaced tonight.
Total lack of service or
standing by their product"
Enclosed is a "Cut and paste" reply from the Bosch Complaint Department:
There is no standard policy regarding timing of repairs as they can be
subject to parts availability and servicers scheduling. Ideally, most
repairs can be accomplished with a matter of days. If the repair is taking
very long to complete weeks/months, we can attempt to assist by expediting
parts when able, etc.
The warranty begins when the dishwasher is installed.
I have experience the "letter of the policy law" from Bosch. After two weeks, the Model SHY66CO5UC--Bosch's top of the line, including top rack only wahing option-- stopped working. After TWO weeks of handwashing--Bosch did not waiver in "sticking to the rules". I was expected to wait until all parts were available prior to having service--this included a new motor, board and starter kit. In other words. Bosch does not guarantee that the appliance being delivered in functional. If it is not functioning, your kitchen will be used as a repair shop until it is repaired. You can live without it until that time. Reread the compliant's department's statement--If the repair is taking
very long to complete weeks/months, we can attempt to assist by expediting
parts when able, etc.
Have fun handwashing while Bosch bends over backwards to expedite the delivery of parts. I communicated to the complaints telephone line and to the on-line complainst department. I will hand to it Bosch--they all stand firm on ONLY fixing a machine--even if it is two weeks old and needs to be totally refurnbished--and even if it takes MONTHS--oh well, part of the business, the Bosch substandard business.
