lightweight , quiet, very accurate, click adjustable peep sight with multiple front aperture inserts for varying distances and uses
low power, short stock, pot metal construction, low quality finish on wood
I bought the Daisy - Rogers Arkansas, USA Powerline 853 Air Rifle as a short distance plinker, target, and pest control rifle. I must say that I am very impressed with the ease that this rifle makes accurate shots. I regularly shoot the tops off blades of grass at 15 yards. the only drawbacks for this rifle are the short stock which comes with cheesy black inserts to lengthen it and somewhat cheap construction. For less money a Benjamin Sheridan is made with better materials, excluding the walther barrel on the Daisy. It feels somewhat delicate in my hands but after all it is not a sporter it's a 10 meter rifle. It performs that job flawlessly.
The Daisy 853 is the rifle I grab most often out of my collection of 4 because it is very quiet, lightweight, manuverable and causes little fatigue during long shooting sessions when compared to heavy springers and multi-pump pneumatics.
